Way to go, Kostroma!

Eight boys from the Kostroma Youth Center recently took part in the TV reality show. They participated as a team from Nadezhda Fund and were one of the two teams that were chosen out of twenty different teams. The reality show was called “Dream Team” and was aimed at choosing the best team from different aspects: physical, social, psychological and creative. The first day was mainly centered around extreme sport tasks and team-building contests to see how well the team members trusted each other. On the first day on the results of three contests the team Nadezhda was the winner. The second day was more artistic where the teams had an interview with an important executive. The task was to show the talents and the potentials of the team in the best way. The team from Nudezhda Fund presented a project connected with informational support of orphanages and boarding schools. On this day the other team was ahead. On the third day the teams were taken to the nearest village and given the task to earn as much money as possible doing any kind of job there. The team from Nadezhda Fund went to private houses offering help like digging potatoes and chopping wood. Our team lost very little to the opponent team in this contest. On the overall results Nadezhda Fund team won the second prize but we're still very proud of them. When the kids were asked what they would've done with the money had they won, they showed their intention of spending it on a charity project of Nadezhda Fund. Well, we hope that the next time they will be the first. The TV Channel is releasing a TV program in three parts, 20 minutes each, about the project.
