  • Vladimir Dacha – Winter ’10-’11

Throughout the winter Andre and various granduates visited the dacha for outdoor fun, relaxation and relationship building. They would go skiing in the woods, then sit by the stove, have tea and coffee, take pictures and discussed plans for the future.

Andre wrote of an early visit: ” Zhenya invited several other guys to join us but they thought it was too cold to go to the country. And indeed it was 20C below zero (minus 4F). Zhenya and I had a great trip – we went cross country skiing, cooked food, sat by the stove and had deep conversations planning for the future.”

Here’s Zhenya’s feedback. “We went to the countryside with Andrei today. This place is very peaceful: no cars and no wild animals – great for retreat. We went into the woods and listened to the songs of the birds that were waking up. It was inspiring and pleasant for the soul. I thank you for supporting Andrei’s vision and I’m excited about it as this is such a great place for both rest and work and fellowship. ”

Sasha’s impressions: “Today my brother and I went to the Dacha. The weather was perfect – frost and sun. We went skiing in the woods. It is very beautiful here. I’m in my 3rd year at the Suzdal techschool, as an electrician.  I’ve had a dream of having a small house in the country and now my dream has almost come true. Now I can do what I love: gardening.  I enjoyed going to the dacha and as an electrician I think we should change the wiring in the house.  I would take every chance to come here.”
